-  Finding and Fulfilling Your Life's Destiny.

For I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.   Jeremiah 29:11

Recently I was alone, with my thoughts and thinking:
"My, how times have changed!"
A few decades ago, 'grass' was mowed, 'coke' was a cold drink; 'pot' was something my mother cooked in; and 'rock music' was my grandmother's lullaby.
Wow! What a difference a generation makes!

Then I began thinking: the fact that the sovereign grace of God let you be born, and you are alive in this generation, is proof positive that your life has destiny and purpose.

You may ask :  "Purpose?  What's that?

I work to make a living - to put bread on the table, take care of a family, and keep a roof over my head. Moreover, I owe I owe, I owe; so off to work I go."

Well, I understand.

But I am thinking: so many people's lives are meaningless passages of time. They never stop to ponder. They simply exist. Living little lives of quiet desperation, they are hurting within while smiling without.  Ethel Walters said it best: "God doesn't sponsor flops."

But,  you may say,  " I'm just an ordinary person. just a housewife; a grandmother or grandfather, or an assembly-line worker." Perhaps you have everything you ever wanted but still feel an emptiness inside. You may be broke, busted and disgusted. A divorced person, a woman whose life has known much sorrow; or just a newcomer looking for employment. But the truth is that's NOT who you are.

Both secular and sacred histories are filled with most amazing stories of lives once considered hopeless.

He was just an 80-year-old shepherd, but on one ordinary day,in some God-forsaken desert place, [at least so it seemed], Moses heard God's voice calling Him to return to Egypt to fulfill his life's destiny. Inspired by a sense of purpose, Moses came out from his hiding place and went on to leave his 'footprints in the sands of time,' and so can you.

Up mighty one; the greater One resides in you by His Holy Spirit.
Come out of your place of hiding, small thinking, sorrow and self-loathing. And in your going and doing, you will discover and fulfill your destiny and purpose.

Don't ever give up. Remember, Moses was once a basket case.
