 - "A Simple Instruction

In 2 Kings 5, General Naaman was the commander of the Syrian army; and an honorable man, held in high esteem by the king of Syria, because of his numerous victories on the batlefield - but he was a leper. The king sent him to Israel to be healed of his leprosy. The prophet Elijah gave him a simple instruction: "Go wash in the Jordan River seven times and your flesh will be restored to you; and you will be clean. Naaman became very angry and felt personally insulted because the Prophet did not respond by calling on the Name of his God and waving his hand over his leprosy to be healed. As a person of high social standing, he felt gravely humiliated by the Man of God, He was about to turn away in great rage when a servant came near and reasoned with him: "If the Prophet had told you to do something great, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you, `Wash, and be clean'?" So Naaman went down; dipped in the Jordan 7 times, and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean. Wow! Reader, what is God telling you to do that you are ignoring? Is it to forgive someone who wronged you? Or are you refusing to pray for your enemies, and do good to those who despitefully use you? Perhaps you need to tell someone, "I am sorry - please forgive me. I was wrong." Do you need to obey God and surrender your heart/life to Him? God's simple instruction to you is this: "My son/daughter, give me your heart, and let your eyes observe my ways." Obey God. Obey His simple instructions and prosper in life!
