Q.- "... come to torment us before the time – what does that mean Matt 8:29
A. It is clear from this verse that Satan and his demons know that a limit has been set on their time and a date has been established by which their reign will come to an end.
The bible clearly teaches that God has set a boundary on the length of time that Satan will rule over the earth and deceive men.
We do not know when that time is, but we rejoice that he will not tempt and torment mankind forever. At God's Eternal Word, Satan will do and stay down for the count! Hallelujah!* * *
We remind you to search the scriptures like those noble Berean Christians in Acts 17:11 - " to see if these things be so. "
