Q.- If God is so merciful, why will he send people to hell?
A. There are several points to note here:
¨ God is merciful and God is also a God of justice
¨ Because he is merciful, he has provided salvation through his son Jesus Christ for all who will call upon him.
He is not arbitrarily dispensing mercy; even to those who reject and despise him – that would make no sense, God sends no one to hell – he said I set before you life and death; heaven and hell – you choose your path.
Just as in life we choose a particular road to reach a desired destination, so too in choosing a path to follow we are choosing the ultimate destination.
As we follow the path we choose, we will arrive to our chosen destination – God sends no one to hell or heaven.
