17 So Jesus answered and said,"
Were there not ten cleansed?
But where are the nine?
18 "Were there not any found who returned to give
glory to God
except this foreigner?"
19 And He said to him , "Arise, go your way.
Your faith has made you well."

Luke 17:17-19

Healed Or Whole? -

There is a most fascinating incident recorded in the book of Luke 17:11-19 about ten lepers who came to Jesus, asking to be made well again.

The account tells us Jesus gave them a strange instruction. He sent then to report or present themselves to the High Priest. On their way to the High Priest, they were miraculously and suddenly healed.

But only one of them returned to say thanks to Jesus. Thereupon, Jesus promptly informed him, that his faith had made him whole.

That means that the others - nine lepers - were also healed, but only one was made whole.

The spirit of ingratitude had left the othe nine souls vulnerable and sick; even though their physical bodies were healed. Only the thankful leper was made whole - and that one factor being grateful - forever made a difference for the rest of his life.

A true believer is forever grateful. Why are you a believer?

Are you a believer because one day when you were way down in the valley and no peace you could find, you were in deep distress, then Jesus came, the healer of Galilee. the sweet Rose of Sharon, the Lily of the Valley?

He touched you and your life has never been the same. It´s been 10, 15, 20, 25 years later and still you have never gotten over the touch of the Master´s hands upon your life. And so you live a life of eternal gratefulness for what He has done in your life.

There are a lot of people like that. They still live their lives in gratitude and memory of that day and that hour when the light broke through the darkness; when strength came in the midst of their weakness; when deliverance came in their trouble; when they were healed from their sickness; when they needed money; and there was a miracle; when God was a strong refuge in the time of their misfortune; and today their lives are living testimony of the POWER of God’s amazing grace.

Yes, He promises that He´ll never leave you nor forsake His own. You belong to the father.

I want to ask you.

Have you been simply healed or have you been made whole? Do you live a life of gratitude to God? Do you get up on Monday morning and say: "Good Lord, it´s morning again? " or do you say: "Good morning Lord"?

Whatever situation you may be going trough right now, or whatever circumstances you´d experienced in your past, it doesn´t matter who may be against you, if God is for you, who can be against you? It means, they can not prevail against you; all their efforts will come to nothing.

What does it matter ?   For when God opens a door no man can shut it,  and when God shuts it, no man can open it.   Jesus commands: Have faith in God.  As a believer, we know that the events of our lives are filtered trough God´s fingers of love.  Those events have made you who you are today.

The Scripture says:  In all your afflictions He, God, is afflicted.   He is in all your tomorrows, in his love and his pity He carries you and bears you up all the days of your life.

Because He´s promised in Hebrews 13: "I will never leave you not forsake you."  And Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, that´s right, You can live with an attitude of gratitude

You can live with a thankful heart, You are a believer, You have been born again. God has healed you .

The question is : "Have you been simply healed or have you been made whole?" How do you know a person who have been made whole?

A person who have been made whole is a person who lives with an attitude of gratitude . A person who lives with a thankful heart.

You must be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. In spite of life circumstances God have brought you into the kingdom of God and you are a child of His own. Live in that Kingdom and see Hs power manifested in your life as your speak His word and claim His blessings each day of your life.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.  Yes, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

It doesn´t matter what might have happened in your life but God has good and wonderful plans for you and even now He is bringing it to pass in your life as you listen to His eternal words.

No, God does not bring you sorrow for the Scripture reminds us the blessings of the Lord makes rich and He adds not sorrow with it. And often times God waits on the perseverance of our faith, trusting in His love and God who is the God of all of our tomorrows has promised good to us.

Jesus said I has come that you may have life and that you may have it more abundantly. All this things the nations of the world seek after; because they know not Him who has brought light and life into the world, but you seek first the Kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you. For your Heavenly Father knows the things that you need and He will never let you go undone in His sight.

So you can live with an attitude of gratitude.

For didn´t David himself say, I have been young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread? I have never seen the rights forsaken, and that was on the other side of Calvary, before the manifestation of the cross. God´s love was in preeminent expression on the Cross - and I’ve never seen His seed or his children begging bread either. .

Believer, have you been healed, delivered from your sins or have you been made whole ?

There is a difference, you know. Whole Christians are Christians who live with an attitude of gratitude, they live thankful lives and they love the Lord and serve Him wholeheartedly in spite of life´s trials and tribulations.

Have you been simply heal or have you been made whole? Only you can answer that question.
